The standout feature at Chuck-A-Burger is undoubtedly the authentic drive-in experience, complete with nostalgic curb service that sets it apart from typical fast-food places. Customers can't stop raving about the double cheeseburger, a towering delight loaded with melted cheese and fresh toppings. The crispy curly fries often steal the spotlight as the perfect sidekick to burgers, while the root beer floats keep patrons cool and satisfied.
Family-friendly vibes bring customers back again and again. Excellent service shines through with friendly staff who greet every car with a smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes everyone feel at home. The affordability of the menu also garners praise, allowing diners to enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank. Many love sharing their meal amongst friends, enhancing the communal experience.
Most Disliked
While many love the vibe, some have noted the temporary closure of the indoor seating as a downside, missing the vintage decor that adds to the character of Chuck-A-Burger. A few patrons wish for crisper fries, acknowledging that preferences for texture can vary widely.
On busy days, especially Saturdays, the peak times can lead to longer wait times for service, which can test the patience of some customers. However, this is often offset by the overall quality of food and the joyful atmosphere. The absence of an extensive dessert menu beyond their shakes and floats has left some wanting more variety, even as many find the existing options delightful.

My go to burger spot in the St louis area. Been here at least weekly lol they have a classic double cheeseburger, elevated by an abundance of melted cheese, is a rich, towering indulgence. Two savory beef patties are grilled to perfection, layered with an extra helping of golden, gooey American cheese that cascades over the edges. Crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, and sharp pickles often complete the stack, all nestled within a toasted, soft bun for the ultimate satisfying bite. With delicious frys and good Root beer float 🍺 😋

Got the double Hollywood chuck which was two patties with all the veg and thousand island dressing. Also got the single BBQ with slaw, that was as it sounds and a side of curly fries. The burgers and fries were so good exactly as expected. The woman who took our order and served us our food was so prompt and helpful!

I love most places that serve Ski soda, and this is no exception. This is my first time coming here. And, I was surprised to see a woman approach my truck on the far end of the parking lot to take my order. They gave excellent, friendly service. The burger was fantastic. The patties were well seared, and the toppings were fresh. No sad tomatoes! The fries could have been a bit more crispy, but that's my preference. The lobby is closed, but are outdoor tables, and plenty of room for cars.

Really enjoyed my burger here, and there was a good variety of available items on the menu! The pricing was also very affordable, which is a relief in this economy. The server was very chipper and provided excellent service. I was only disappointed that it seems that the inside seating is closed temporarily, because I was looking forward to seeing the vintage diner theme. Definitely a place that I could become a regular at.

Great burgers, fries, and shakes! A blast from the past with a nostalgic feel. Customer service was outstanding and service was fast. Worth the visit and pretty affordable too! They have a seated shaded area right in the rear with plenty of parking throughout.

Had a great time at Ron's birthday car show. A lot of people showed up. The food was great as always. Their dining room is still closed, but you can order curbside. Please remember to tip your curbside waitress or waiters. Not only do they deal with taking your order, they're also dealing with mother nature.

It was extremely hot the day we went to chucks, but worth it! I appreciate all the workers in 100 degree weather back and forth, super kind. The food is pretty good, nothing wow but just casual. I enjoyed their banana shake, that was actually delicious. But their PRICES!!! Extremely affordable… I wish Chicago had something like this. Thank you for keeping your prices as is
